A RHYME ON SPINE (Poem)

I often think about my spine.
Do you ever contemplate thine?
Last month was bad. This month is good,
Thank God, it's behaving just as it should.
I can twist and turn without any pain,
And walk great distances without my cane.
Sitting down is OK, getting up is all right.
Just feelings that some lumbar muscles are tight.
How nice it would be if I could be unaware
Of my spine, as I am of my growing hair.
A miracle they say that it works at all
For decades of service at our beck and call.
So think in awe about your spine
Just as I do in appreciating mine.
